. I also fixed the timer problem.. works much better now.. and play problems with N8x0 as well.
I would like heavy testing on this one as I'm about ready to push this forward to testing if there's no major issues.

Updated to ver 2.7, it is still skipping some songs. The issue is easily reproducible if you select "next" as soon as a song starts playing.

I do thinks there's a problem with my next button if you skip before the song is buffered.. seems to disable itself until next song.
Are you Diablo or N900?

N900, tried again 4 times, it skipped two songs and finally got stuck on the last song, none of the controls work

As to the problem.. I will continue to look into it. I've had it get stuck on a song before (usually when I'm around spotty network).. but I can usually always skip to the next song. Never had it totally "stuck" before.. (You can't skip songs if it's in "Pause" status.. make sure the Play buttons triangle is lit when you try to skip).
Is there any way to get debugging output?

More freezeup like behavior (this time running from the commandline): it wouldn't move past a song. When it got to the end of the song, it stopped playing. If I toggled between pause and play, it started playing again. The skip button would not respond at all. Unfortunately, nothing reported on the commandline.
I've attached a mockup of a new GUI. I based it off the image at the start of this thread.
The time elapsed/remaining font is Times 32pt (18 or higher would be fine with me). The title, author, album fonts are Times 18pt. I think the album name should be in italics, but not the "On:". I reduced the size of the image (width is now 320px, I think) to make room for the fonts and volume. The volume control could go in the lower-right corner, and be a popup control like in Media Player. It doesn't matter too much if it overlaps other controls, so you've got some space to play with there. If it can't overlap, then just move the controls over a bit more to make room on the far right.
What do you think? I'm not necessarily advocating for these specific fonts, sizes, nor for this particular layout, but this way you should have more room for larger text.
