It works for me but the image on the PC with VLC, is rotated 180 degrees.

You take that note of surprise out of your writing, do you hear ..
There are filter functions in vlc that can correct that, though indeed, it is weird. In fact, those same filters could be responsible for the inversion.
One can get transposed stuff via gst-launch commands but one would expect that everyone has the issue.

@WhiteWolf - thats odd. Do all your other movies play like that in VLC? and pardon the obvious question, but do you hold the camera upsidedown?
