From the initial output you have shown things are not looking so bad.

Please try the whole thing again:

1. close all programs.
2. Remove all widgets from the desktop.
3. Put phone in offline mode.
4. Turn phone off, remove battery for 20 seconds.
5. Replace battery and switch back on.
6. Tell phone to stay in offline mode.
7. Wait 4 minutes.
8. Open xterm and type:

Code:
sudo powertop >> output && sudo powertop >> output && sudo powertop >> output
9. Quickly lock phone and wait 4 minutes.
10. Connect your phone to the internet and type into xterm:

Code:
cat ./output | pastebinit
11. Paste the url here.

-_- i give up.

i think what ever tweak i add i will always end up recharging early as i use mine all day long, i can't see it being the battery just my usage suppose i could lug round a car battery or a very long extension lead lol

@trisha02 sell your phone then buy a new one if the patch is still not working then probably your the problem not the phone itself...

cause all you have to do is copy paste what vi and cord tell you.
its either The User, The Phone or The Helpers but i ruled out the helpers

i use my device constantly...and no games either.

stuill have to change a battery every 2-4 hours, so i carry 3-4 extra batteries in my pocket and have 1 extra n900 just to help charge my batteries.

if this works and can cut it down to 2-3 batteries per day....that will be great!

im testing now. yesterday was little use, and on days like that, i usually only change the battery every 6 hours. yesterday i got 9.5 hours out of one battery.

quite a few TMO members have tried to help out, all with varying degrees of knowledge. the only way forward is as you say get a different device completely and call it an experience, or start again with a complete reflash but who knows if it will be done properly

Are you using the flash as a torch all the time? At maximum load I struggle to flatten the phone in 4 hours!

Just for the fun of it, do the instructions I told to trisha02. First you must install powertop and pastebinit.

Also do yourself a favour and buy some SCUD blue batterys, it will help you ALOT.
