I'll be happy to even pay 1000 world currency units for it to show off my sophisticated personality and make me stand out in the millions crowd of Lumia-sheeple in 2013.

The brick-er the Jolla device, the better

(longing for my Nokia 2110i with extended battery but then full of latest sophisticated hardware including Geiger Muller tube, bottle openers)

And if it is any good in terms of performance support and openness I'll purchase the updated model as well.

Count me in. Unless it costs 1000€. I'm gonna stay with both Jolla and N9 for a little while and decide which way to go. Either way, I'm buying that phone.

I'm also in (if price/performance is not unreasonable).

Then planning to send Elop an email "Thank you for making Jolla guys free / Sent from my JollaMobile"

Htm5 can be great when moving between platforms like mobile, cars, television screens etc sure it has drawback like everything but might be improved over the years and is not yet a standard.
I didn't say they shouldn't support it, but I did say they shouldn't bring it as the Valhalla of Programming, because it most certainly isn't.

But why shouldn't a blame the standard or technology? The WHATWG and W3C are for a very large part responsible for the mess it is. But the real problem is there are so many developers which lack experience other than HTML/JS and now confuse its popularity with its quality.

Yep, anything up to £600. And as long as the hardware and UI design is non-ugly.

Guess what? Yesterday Arie contacted me about a few of his N9s having problems (yes all 3 which he bought from you)...AND the best part of this is that ALL 3 of them had hardware issues...The worst was the White n9; it was missing 4GB space in the emmc partition...WTF did you do to make it lose 4GB? Then on second thought it must not be you but something else like a fraudulent seller...

Anyway we spent ~2 hours to fix all 3 of them...The hardware issue all 3 had was missing various amounts of partition space...This was causing the n9 to act very weird...Once we got them fixed they have been running very well especially since one of them is a Finnish one with excellent build quality...

So really you've been screwed 3x by whatever it is to give you a lousy experience...If you debate sensibly I would reply because I understand your concerns but when you bait its pretty irritating...

This is the White N9 missing 4GB before we fixed it; it should be 57.6GB...

Hello Genius. Looks like alike geniuses thanked you for your post. First, The 3 N9s you are referring to, were bought from three different sellers. The most likely interpretation IS NOT fraudulent activity, but NOKIAs issue. Others posted here and showed partitions similar to what you show here.

Second, it is really unethical for you to comment on these phones. If Arie had issues, he could have contacted me. I sold them for a fine price and I dont regret it if someone has a good use for them. You should of kept quiet without knowing the history.

I think in my myriad of posts; I have posted some incorrect info...

The screenshot I posted was of the half-way process whereby we had already merged partitions but it wasn't working with the "Can't access user data error" coming up...Arie sent me this screenshot...Prior to this he had the 4GB missing...After this we realised he had done an exFat instead of Fat32 partition so doing that fixed all things up...

If you realise the bytes are 57.6GiB which is what we wanted to get to...

I posted that due to Arie asking me to post it since he doesn't come here that often...I have no intention to interfere in your dealings with him...The screenshot in my first post except for type of partition is what a stock n9's mmc partition should look like...

Anyway its fixed now and working well...

Ohhh. No phone today.

Well well well it's another day tomorrow, lets hope for the Jolla phone.

Time to sleep. Wake Me Up when the phone arrives.

Sleep tight!
