After sending my N900 off to Nokia via CPWH in the UK, I have a brand newly fixed phone. It only took 2weeks too. I feel sorry for the people that are getting screwed out of a repair and I hope you do eventually get it fixed.

Has anybody had to send their replaced/repaired n900 back to Nokia because of the usb port breaking again?

I had my n900 replaced with a new one around a month or two ago and the usb port is starting to damage again, wonder if they'll do the same again.

This shite excuse of water damage is Nokia's way of getting out the repair and it stinks !!. Go back at them and demand they repair cos its a damm design fault and to stop using the lame excuse of water damage, if this fails take it up with the BBC also cos am sure they will be interested as Apple try to pull the same stunt.... redicularse.

Earlier this week I sent my N900 in for service due to a non-functioning but still attached USB port. I just saw the updated status that it was not repairable and the are "awaiting a replacement device." I certainly hope that doesn't take very long.

UPDATE: got shipping confirmation for the replacement phone this morning.

Finally got around to grinding the teeth off my charger after another broken USB port was reported here in Austraila (latest Australian release model). Obviously the issue has not been addressed by Nokia. The difference when it comes to unplugging mine since grinding is amazing, much smoother.

Sigh, it's time to try and do the dodgey and get someone to solder on a new port. Failing that; get an android or something.
wtf does water damage or cracked screen or dropped phone/physical damage or what ever have to do with the freaking usb port becoming loose because of the design of the charger? that is some BS and nokia ought to be ashamed. there needfs to be a class action lawsuit or something cause this is rediculous
