N9 is shorter. To be brutally correct we should be calling it RM-680 for now because N9, N950, N1000 don't tell what the device is. It's just a marketing name for device/proto that gets in to mass production.

Imo Rich Green is just saying that the device Nokia will ship this year is more of a follower to N900 now with the harmattan stuff and so calling it "N950".

Though i'm sure we all know what each of us means when we talk about N9, N950 or RM-680.

Haha! I'ts nice to see that I am not alone .. I have to check twitter, this forum etc. repeatedly in order to see any new info/leaks/etc.

I HAVE WAITED DECENT LINUX PHONE TOO MANY YEARS. N900 is eternal beta device - As pro consumer geek (not developer) I have been waiting, waiting, waiting that step 5/5

I pray that step 5 is coming soon and qwerty kb is included into device.

Well, I have good news and bad news.

First the bad news.

I have just heard, from a trusted source I cannot disclose, that only one N9 was ever made. Sorry. The same one was used in all the leaked photos and teasers. Notice you never saw two at the same time as evidence.

Now the good news!

Who ever gets the 1000th post in this thread will win it! However you must include your name and credit card number in that post for verification.

and the CC# shall go directly to Steve Jobs, for good measure, to compensate him for the fact that the UI (on the teaser) looks remotely like the iOS interface

I think that the N9 should have the keyboard because without it the Linux will not just match with it, and it won't be categorized as a pocket computer anymore.
