What I dont understand is, if Nokia Retail is operated by MPD how come they haven't got the phones yet? Especially if they are selling them from Friday?

Or have I as usual missed something?

I think Nokia didn't start shipping they just released false info as they were being pressured by the consumer and also with the release of the HTC HD2 and The Android..

When my local supermarket tells me it has my favourite brand of cheese selling at 40% cheaper than normal, I do not wish to turn up to by the cheese to be given a pamphlet, detailing the overnight dairy market fluctuations since the offer had been announced, resulting in a reduced reduction, that may fluctuate further still before I make it to the checkout to pay for it.

Keep your pseudo-industry knowledge to yourself or tell it to someone who remotely gives a ****.

And if you think Nokia havent made a definite date "in case the world blows up" I guess we see your statements for the silly nonsense they are.
if nokia has allready 10.11.2009 officially announced that devices will be in stores in november, what secret science is it? then the date is 30.11.2009 (last day of month, monday) or before that.

Cause they started shipping to retailers at 10th, NOT customers. Friday is the magic date in Finland at least...

You will find your self getting a phone that you don't really want and will end up regretting your decision because of your impatience..

You either want it or you don't..
That's exactly how I figure, there's nothing comparable, whether we like it or not

"The company is apparently “surprised” by response to the N900"

Hahaha, surprised that the most open, feature rich device on the market has a popular reception? You don't say!

Grrrr
Totall argree - maybe I'll wander over at lunchtime tomorrow and pick one up. If they are the same company then maybe we can persuade them to let us pick it up in person at the store? Doubt it somewhat though
