but I have to admit I did find a backup for music on the road. I'm still really amazed that grooveshark works so smooth in Microb. Flash and all, and less touch friendly than yaspot. but it does the thing while we're waiting for a fix.

I'm using rev. 508 of libdespotify, that I compiled myself, and it works just fine.

could somebody please give some advice on how to uninstall the old version of the library and install the new one (i guess it needs to be done on the terminal?)

Thanks...!

As I wrote in the other thread: There is binary incompatibility between version 488 and 508. It actually already starts at the step from 488 to 489.

To get it to work, the yaspot developer needs to make some changes in his code and compile against the new library.

oh ok... so it's not something we can fix ourselves...

I noticed your post on the new client but i personally am going to wait until it's been tested by a few users (or ideally promoted to extra testing)

It looks like the developer will have to do something, yes.

Regarding my own client, I think waiting a bit is a good idea if you really want stability. I'll see what I can do about at least getting it into Extras-devel.

hey guys,

the last few days I've been unable to use yaspot. It logs in fine, however, when clicking Reload Playlists, it crashes.

Anyone else seeing this?

For some reason I can't get the autobuilder to build the despotify packages any more and unfortunatly I don't have time to look into too why that is. Anyway, I posted new debs on my blog if you want to use the patched packages instead of just coping the shared libraries.
