Maybe to install transition.ini in another place /usr/share/hildon-desktop. I don't know if this will help. Maybe tweaks is managing only the transition.ini files situated in a precise location.

Anyways, I found a workaround and I'll upload new version soon (I just leave out the snap-to-grid stuff from my custom transitions.ini and Hildon will use value given in that "system wide" transitions.ini).

yo sir! did you edit the transitions at v1.6-8? its alot smoother! i wanna copy the transitions to hildon desktop if you dont mind.
and its seems you change the bookmark icon on the browser.... thanks!

Yep, I did some modifications to transition (added small amount of blur to applauncher so light backgrounds are now also working, shortened some transition times and so on...). Feel free to copy. use and share the files as you wish

I found the solution for snap to grid issue!
edit the transition.ini from /usr/share/themes/blackplastictheme-themedir and replace the lines:
# Edit mode configuration
# Snap to grid -asetus kommentoitiin helvettiin jotta systeemin oma asetus tulisi voimaan.
# [edit_mode]
# snap_grid_size=4
# Set to 0 if snap to grid should be only happen when widget is released
# snap_to_grid_while_move=1
with this ones
# Edit mode configuration
[edit_mode]
snap_grid_size=16
# Set to 0 if snap to grid should be only happen when widget is released
snap_to_grid_while_move=1
Now it will not be needed to copy the transitions.ini to /usr/share/hildon-desktop
I attached the new transitions file. Just remove the zip extension from the end and copy to usr/share/themes/blackplastictheme-themedir/
