I seriously think there is some sort of component shortage on these cortex chips...

But I do agree that Nokia should start to hold back these "SHIPPING started!"-announcements and just stick to these "in stores now!"-announcements because average Joe doesn't know how long does it take for, let's say 200 000 devices, to get from factory to home door/shop.
I just think Nokia has kept the customers in the dark, they announce one thing and disappear, I'd rather be told about issues of shipping or backorders on chips, or which retailers are getting them first then no information at all. Then they wonder why they are losing market share.

I just called up the UK flag ship store about 10 minutes ago and they said hopefully they should have it for sale tomorrow. FAIL

OMG You know finito ? My beef with you is now totally ended. .. wow .. he was the best right winger we ever had. Sadly we don't make them like finito any more

Back to the issue on ground. Am happy our colleagues in the UK will be getting their N900 very soon. It gives us much hope that our ordeal will soon be over.

Could it be that for some reason all large deliveries from logistic center in Holland(?) start at the end of this week to retailers and to customers (Nokia Online Shop's)?

Yes, what is so strange about that?
Have you ever run a company? Do you know the hassle of having a big part of your staff work out of contract? Expecially in Italy?

WE HAVE BEEN FOOLED FOR MONTHS AND THEY CANT WORK ONE SAT???
Nobody has ever been fooled. Nokia delayed the shipping once, said November and November will (hopefully) be.

Complaining here and for this is IMHO totally inappropriate.

I am in desperate need of this phone, my P910 is breaking apart with cracked screen, but I don't see any reason for which to complain (except for the italian crippled keyboard layout )

SHAME
on you?

Was looking through nokias sites and came across an interesting couple of pages for updates on pre-ordering N97 and N900.

http://www.n97minipreorder.co.uk/

http://www.n900preorder.co.uk/

From these sites there is links to preordering, and incentives like £250 accessory packs and Free Nokia music store tracks to win. I entered the competition by preordering the phone and got my family to enter by following the "Not ready to pre-order but still want to enter" to increase my chances of winning....Fingers crossed!
