Even after the decision to go with WP7 for the mass market, the concept is still the same.

These are exciting times, and many things will become much clearer soon.
was / is the N900 a developer device in your book?

lol.. just wait a bit. It is coming soon.. you wanted a hint right. That silver photo you posted earlier is correct. Front anyways.

misterc - stop being so doubtful
no offence, but
i'll remain doubtful 'til the evidence i have listed is proven wrong.
that Elop doesn't mention a developer device (whatever that would be) i may understand, but that Rich Green doesn't mention "that detail", sorry, he seems too sincerely interested to leave out that kind of... "detail"
prove me wrong...

Nothing like this before. Also optimization. The kind of stuff this does on a "normal" CPU is phenomenal..
Thanks a lot, it's the answer I was waiting in fact ^^

But then I'm still afraid about the battery drain, the biggest problem of our nice N900.

and there is no point which so ever spending any money on developing a new M / M device if it not going to be offering anything more then a N8 does, does it?
might as well make a N8-2 w/ beefed up HW (and Symbian^3)
the N8 has sold over 4 millions units with its underpowered CPU & GPU.
giving it more horse power would be more then enough to wrestle back even more market share w/out having to waste money on the M / M adventure. wasn't it you who pointed out that NOKIA is a profit making company just like any other?

the only reason to go on w/ M / M is if it comes w/ a HW kbd.

Not much of a problem i'd say. I get a day of decent usage and fiddling around. Should suffice.

no idea what they intoxicated you with, but...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8Tiua4BNQo
they didn't do THAT for you
i don't mean to be personal, simply, that looks like a perfectly well designed advertisement video w/ a perfectly well orchestrated release time. there is no point doing any of this for a developer device.

FFS get over it... i am not showing you photographs. You don't believe me fine.. don't listen to me atleast don't say that i'm lying.

Some reading material for you : http://wwwdb.nokia.com/proto/imail.n...TO_NET_web.pdf

Do you know what is legal binding ? I cannot show you photos.. end of story.

But believe me , you will get a TS device. The same one from which i'm typing out this post in the browser.

Well I've just joined up to say I'm devastated, I've been waiting for a top end QWERTY touch screen phone forever and I thought this was it.

I'm a writer by trade and, hence, do a lot of writing. I therefore want a proper keyboard - you don't want to knocking out 1,000 word articles on a touchscreen... you want buttons.

Just spent three hours reading 100 pages of thread, all excited ,only to find out at the end that it's not coming out with a KB after all.

To the guy who clearly knows all about it (Koajwujwer123), thanks for the info at least. Is there something soo ludicrously new and mindblowing this phone can do that makes it so much better than all the other top end slates around that might actually convince me to get it anyway?

Otherwise I'm going to have to buy a hideous Desire Z or, well, an E7 I guess - unless anyone has any better ideas?

PS, To the guy who just keeps shouting rudely at the few on here who do have some info (MisterC), can I respectfully suggest you stop? It's obvious these guys are not just making this up, stop scaring them away eh.

Its a nice and large touchscreen , very comfortable keyboard... you really should not have a problem. In fact i would recommend this along with a portable BT keyboard as a solution. Or of course you can get the other dev device. Quite similar , not as good looking / exotic.

As i said , UI / UX is very very interesting. You'll have to see it to understand what i mean.
