Rob, thanks for the detailed info! I'm currently shackled to outlook that's auto-synced to google cal, so I was hoping for a NIT sync option of some sort. I really wish I could help with opensync, but I can't code my way out of a wet paper bag.

On a side note: did you ever have a chance to try KOrganizer that PinCushonQueen had suggested?

Haven't given KOrganizer a go yet... when I first looked into it, it sounded like it had some problems with dialog boxes too big for the NIT screen. Maybe it has improved now, or a full install of KDE on the NIT helps with that.

I can't get To_Do or Spend It to work. The installation seems to work just fine. I installed nokia-utilities to make sure I had all dependencies. I even installed Pyculator, just to make sure I had all the right Python stuff.

Both To-Do and Spend It show up under Extras in my App Manager. When I tap on them a tiny window in the upper right hand side pops up and says "Loading. . .", and after about 30 seconds it disappears and then nothing else happens.

I'm using an n800 with recently reflashed 0S2008. I reflashed to get rid of a bunch of unnecessary apps. I'm not sure if the recent reflash is in any way related to not being able to use To_Do or Spend It. It may be.

Does anyone have a clue as to how I might get this to work?

Thanks in advance for the consideration.

i hope its not taboo to bring up such an old thread but:

i am having trouble with spend it. it ran once then i closed it and it will not run again. i shutdown my n800 then turned it back on, still no luck. i uninstalled and reinstalled and it ran once and then stopped working.

i really want a personal accounting program on my n800 does any one know what the problem is or how to fix it?

I got so annoyed with the application starting in the middle of the night that I had to uninstall it and I'll stick with GPE for now and that is too bad because I like everything else about this app.

It isn't hildonized, and the default icons are ugly, but functionality wise it seems pretty good.

I added an Event in Calendar and it says the event is at 02:00 but how am i supposed to know its 02:00 AM or 02:00 PM? Thats why I set my regional settings to NL. Here we use 14:00 and 02:00 normally. Unfortunately, Calendar doesn't honour this setting.

The good news is I've been able to export the data in iCal format to Evolution (Windows port).

I have moved the .debs, source, and bug reports to the Maemo garage:
https://garage.maemo.org/projects/genecash-pim

Hopefully this will provide some more visibility to the apps and make it easier for others to contribute patches and bug reports.

I updated the first post of this thread to reflect the new URL.

I don't suppose anyone has the sources for net-safe? I decided I might as well try and port it as I found it useful, but Gene's home page has vanished and the wayback machine isn't much help.
