I think there will be more Android phones by the end of this year than Maemo5 powered devices. A few manufactures have announced they want bring a Android phone to the market but Nokia is the only one who's into Maemo.
You can expect Android application compatibility to degrade in 2010. I haven't yet seen any indication Google have their eye on the ball with regard to this problem.

So for those reasons, would you not agree that Nokia have been a bit silly, to say the least?

Does "lands in the US" mean actually landing at some harbor/airport and then waiting another week before getting to distributors, and 2 before getting to consumers, or does that mean arriving into stores and retailers?
