Yeah although very frustratingly slow, so will see how it comes back to me and completely reflash. But one of the things looking forward to is getting my hands on some of the newly released homebrew for the PS3 ; )

Ah, You see my n900 was running perfect no crashes,no speed issues nothing it was purring like a kitten.

So i would like my n900 back,if they replace it i could get a working usb port BUT a buggy os or worse.

4 days turn-around that's quality by the way.

lol sorry, just a phrase you used 'quality, by the way'. Reminded me of some of the Glasow patter.

back on topic. Still haven't heard back from nokia, so I will post it off tomorrow anyway I think after I've backed up what I can.The website told me it's covered under warranty and to send it in. Seems totally weird that no one is going to check whether the faullt is a warranty issue or not, and it seems like it is just assumed that it is. Like I said before, we could use it to hammer nails in then complain through that system that it is broke.

Nice one,

I would transfer stuff too and from your phone with bluetooth and charge it once a day

or

even charge another battery externally and replace your battery once low (but that is a bit extreme)

Do you know if they have made it more secure on the board?

Because if they have just re-soldered it back the same way as before that would be crazy, especially that they would know of the problems this has caused

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaghhhh........

Just found out Nokia have changed over my phone.

Now i know that sounds good

BUT

It was a faulty USB socket for crying out loud and which was sturdy on the board but with a faulty connection,i mean can't they fix a faulty connection.

Now i have not got a clue how stable a phone i will get, yes i will be able to charge and transfer via usb again but i may get a phone with rebooting problems or worse (from stories i have read on these threads).

I will have to wait and see once i pick it up.

As you can see(read) i am right p@##ed off.

Thanks NOKIA for looking after me under warranty but my electronically joined at my hip friend has been taken away from me for good when a carefull hand and a blob or two of solder should have reunited us again.
