Use something other than Rockplayer. I prefer the Samsung video player, myself... plays everything I throw at it and plays it very well.
The R disappeared for some reason. Had already downloaded a few other players that work well. Quite love the Samsung video player. Looks beautiful. Unfortunately for some reason it does not play my mpg files. Just mp4. Maybe I will convert them but not sure I can be bothered when there are other players that play them.

what is vlc ?
is it like a remote viewer app ?
ive tried a few but cant set them up cos i cant get into my router via a web browser,
apperently i have to open Internet Explorer and type 192.168.1.1 but it keeps asking me for user name and password?
according to my router its: Administrator and password is blank but it dont work, just keeps asking me for the username and password again

i have a wake on lan widget on my desktop, it wakes my pc (over wifi)
then i use 'team viewer' to view and use my desktop remotely, but theres a lot of lag and no sound

iove also tried 'penetrate' supposed to let me use wep key protected wifi but its also not working, keeps saying i need thomson directories, even though i already have them in a folder called thomson on my memory card

ive wasted 20+ hours trying to set them all up and got nowhere!

Ooo crap...
Now we're going to see what Amazon can do with their sales channels. They know how to deliver good prices without being cheap.

Not really anything we didn't already know.

Can't wait until tomorrow to see all these new tablets at the CES, although I'm still getting a tab.

The Honeycomb os looks like a real tablet os and is billed as such.
This is what a tablet os should look like at a glance.

Too bad the Tab will most probably not get the honeycomb os , well there is a tab 2 for that.

Also found the social websites widget I was looking for. Had to rely on google and then searching the Tab manual. It is called Feeds and Updates. However, it only shows up on the add widget list if you are using the Samsung stock launcher. Since I am mad for Go Launcher it means it is not an option for me.
I had noticed that, too, when I ran LauncherPro. And, that's why I worded what have for Samsung widgets the way I did--I specifically pointed out that they were widgets that are built into the Samsung Sense UI. I thought you had known that already but it seems you had that epiphany only much later.

Im struggling to find a way to set my mp3s as ringtones or notification tones with this device, i dont think its actually possible.
and i was surprised to read that android alarms dont work if the device is turned off,
ive been able to do those things for years with my nokia phones

Sent from my GT-P1000 using Tapatalk
If you mean "off" as in "asleep", then yes.. Android alarms will wake up the device and sound the alarm as you would expect. ALL the cellphones I've ever owned never turned on and sounded an alarm from complete-off, only ever from sleep (where the screen is off and the phone is in standby waiting for calls or wake-up signals like alarms).

I recommend installing an application called 'Ringdroid' which will help you edit and set ring-tones and alarm-tones.

You REALLY should disable that obnoxious "Sent from my..." taglines in your posts.

You've also wasted 166 words trying to ask what VLC is and then going on and on about nothing that has to do with VLC, but instead sounds vaguely like a discussion about VNC or something like it as well as a babbling plethora about nothing related to either VLC nor VNC.

Lastly, you didn't "hack" anything. All you did was run an application someone else wrote that got you access to someone else's network using a commonly known set of WEP/WPA keys for routers that people were lazy or stupid enough not to configure with a new admin username and password. You may wish to describe yourself as a "script kiddy", though. A real hack would have involved some learning and tinkering. An even smarter person wouldn't have openly admitted to cracking into someone's network by posting it into a public message forum, Einstein.
