btw canola2 beta 9 is a bit slow on my n800

first for run,it takes time for the loading ?????

also read the videos is slow too (no video files)

I have the same problem. I have tried a couple reinstalls of Canola2
and python (from chinook), but it is still broken. Before this problem, Canola2 was fine on Diablo.

I am having the missing text issue as well. I received my tablet a day or so after Diablo was released so the first thing I did was upgrade the device. Somewhere along the line I did and "apt-get -f install" and have added "chinook" to my repositories. Canola2 has had missing text ever since the first install.

Before adding Canola2 I had installed HP42, abiword, gnumeric and a couple other apps. Really haven't installed too much on it. Any ideas as to what package update has screwed my ability to see text in Canola? Looks like a great app and I'd love to get it working.

EDIT: Nevermind. Just saw the thread around this. I'm sure you guys are working hard to get a version running for Diablo. I guess I'll just have to wait to play with this software.

My Canola install on Diablo also freezes farily often using youtube.
The youtube ap is very cool though when it's working.

Now, when my Canola is working like a charm, I would like to make an suggestion instead of a bug report.

Here goes: it would be nice to be able to add a quick launch icon of Canola to the home screen of the tablet. I don't know if this is already possible in the newer internet tablets but at least for 770 I have not found a way to do this.

Thanks. I don't know if this application is available for OS2006 but while looking I found the Simple Launcher application. I think that should also do what I am asking for.
