I did not have bt-hid scripts installed, so it was a virgin install. Works perfectly with su-8w keyboard. Thank you freemangordon. this was really helpful. I was able to turn off and reboot too, no issues. Everything else seems to function as it should too...

What was the reason to remove the devices reconnect button?

I really worked very well.

Move, not remove ok? It takes several less clicks and is consistent with n900 UI as a whole. And you are not obliged to install extkbd if u only need a mouse. Enough reasons?

I am lost with your explanations, sorry. Will you please describe which is blue BT icon that flashes and which is that desktop icon - is it your desktop PC having such icon or what? What are your actions before "keyboard connection failed" message. And please
write actual message you saw.

Meanwhile I would recommend two things:

1. Remove pairing with keyboard and pair it again. Reboot your n900.
2. After rebooting :
- tap on status bar
- tap Bluetooth
- tap Devices
- make sure your keyboard is selected and tap Edit
- tap Connect

BTW did you check whether your keyboard has some kind of "connect" button on it, most have.

May you post dmesg log when connection fails? Also have in mind that once paired with your desktop it is no longer paired with n900, you need to explicitly delete pairing (on n900) and repair. Attach a screenshot of your paired bluetooth devices and of device details dialog so I can check which profiles your keyboard supports.

New version of extmou and extkbd has a big problem after installed.

You can't connect your sixasix ps3 bt controller to your n900 anymore.
It keeps asking you connect to ps3 controller: YES OR NO.

Uninstall extmou and extkbd will solve the problem.

New version of extmou is 100% same as previous just repackaged. extkbd have some changes but they should not bring any problems.

Try to delete pairing and pair again. Message you have looks like your BT device is not paired.

And BTW there is no need to post one and the same message on both extkbd and extmou threads.
