i set my menu to have 10 rows, but it keeps showing just 8 (6 + battery and volume)

i used this
Code:
gconftool-2 -s /apps/osso/hildon-status-menu/view/number_of_rows_portrait -t int 10
and tried killing hildon status and even restarting, still the same

also, doing a gconftool-2 -g reports 10 as result

can anyone confirm?
Also confirming. It's ignoring my settings in that matter as well.

Don't worry, I'm just next generation AI "born" as effect of collaboration between secret mason-hackers organization

Seriously though, I'm not sitting here for a long total time, I'm just sitting often for short time, yet in relatively short intervals. Thus the feeling, I suppose.

taking a look at gitorious i notice that hildon-status menu wasn't updated for a while.

time ago Mohammad did some changes to it, and the way it listen to gconfs schemas

see here http://gitorious.org/community-ssu/h...d07f37be5f1983

and taking a look at the code, i think there is a missing slash over here

Code:
68	#define NUMBER_OF_ROWS_GCONF_KEY NUMBER_OF_ROWS_GCONF_DIR "/number_of_rows"
69	#define NUMBER_OF_ROWS_PORTRAIT_GCONF_KEY NUMBER_OF_ROWS_GCONF_DIR "/number_of_rows_portrait"

giving that way the right path, but i know nothing about programming, just observation and deduction, so i might be wrong

hmmmmmm i must've botched something. i have a blacklist but it doesn't work at all. for example, i have osso-xterm inside blacklist and my xterm still rotates into portrait mode. what gives??

it was working fine before until i ran the CSSU configuration app and i chose the option to fix the ini file. then i went into transitions.ini and opened it up with leafpad to ensure blacklist is ok and it seems so...

[edit]
my bad. forgot that i changed theme and the theme's INI overrides /usr/share/hildon-desktop/transitions.ini

Same here, just updated to Testing 1.2 and also 8 rows in portrait mode.
If i try to change the rows in Landscape on the Status menu rows, no problem
but Portrait mode always keep showing 8 rows even if i set the rows to 4 and Update

That's T1.1. Anyway I can't see any update to version T1.2 in HAM.
