You need to get the date&time from RTC with "hwclock -s" in the init before launching backupmenu or whatever.
Nice, where exactly do we put that line ?

I guess backupmenu is launched from preinit, right?
Then you need to put that somewhere there before it starts.

Got it!

Code:
devel-su
nano /opt/backupmenu/4-Backupmenu-start
add:
/sbin/hwclock -s

just after the line
### Start

anyone tried to use fiasco-flasher and flash kernel on device?
it requires fiasco header for kernel. check fiasco-kernel package and its kernel. can anyone create kernel with good header?

I toyed with the idea for a while but did not really start pursuing it since it's one of the rare things than CAN permabrick the device.

It would be very nice of course as it would enable things like installing ubiboot from a deb package

how can it brick device? it just send data to nolo. and then nolo flashing device itself. pc flasher doing same, but via cable.

So device starts like that:
x-loader -> nolo -> moslo -> kernel? It is possible to replace moslo with u-boot?
