I myself would prefer a hw-keyboard (N900 User). However I am open to the idea of a V-keyboard if it really works well (swype etc..)

I don't care much about the hardware specs of the phone if everything feels smooth and fast. I am however very interested in playing 1080p mkvs on a large monitor with hdmi input. Is this possible?

i dont believe that a hwkb is a must have for most people... why? if this would be true, there would be more devices with a keyboard. and no one is writing thousands of sms in a day nor a month... most people are writing SHORT messages. and as long as (and only then) the swkb is better then the one we have seen at our n900 or at any android kb, everybode (except of developers or stubborn people who dont like changes) will be happy.
Dont get me wrong, i use the hwkb of the n900 almost every time i have to write something, but thats not because i like it, its because i dont like the swkb. If the swkb would be at least as good as the one at ios (man, i hate ios and apple, but sometimes they do things correct) it should be good enough for everybody here (except of devs and stubborns). And if someone still dont like the swkb, regardless of how good it is, then he can still get a bt kb... but dont hope that all your wishes will come true... we are not kids anymore, so a little bit more realism would be good.
If this were so then PC's wouldnt have HKB and they would have some form of touchscreen input system.
Regardless, when technology advances why do people seem to regress and go backwards? A HKB is a much better alternative then a software keyboard no matter how good it is. If it wasn't then RIM would have made some more touchscreen only devices.
People who send alot of texts/emails. the VKB is just useless in comparision.
Go find a true Words Per Minute reading on an onscreen QWERTY compared to a physicaly QWERTY.

I hope the consumer device will have a decent camera... If it's really that slim as rumored (max 10 mm), how to put an AF module in it? If this will be EDoF, that's an absolute no-go for me, no matter how advanced the OS is...

I can only hope Nokia also make a REALLY nice thin/foldable bluetooth keyboard specially made for the N9 users.
Possibly even attachable/detachable from the N9 body with a hinge to be useable while attached. But are they that smart?
Should be like one of those iPhone BT keyboards.

All that is based on information by Nokia.
