re-posting, IT2008OS rocks Problem with application manager was a dead application repository and I disable it and everything is working fine. Be patient as thousands, maybe more users are downloading all their apps again after the upgrade! new os is super fast! Got most my favorite apps working flawlessly already.

I have placed many skype calls (skype to skype and skype-out calls) now on the N800 with this latest firmware and while wearing the mono BT Motorola Headset.

Incoming call are answered without needing to touch the N800, I press the button on the headset, and I can end calls without touching the N800 also. The volume controls on the BT headset control volume levels in Skype properly ( but are a bit sluggish in response ).

Unfortunately, Skype calls cannot be INITIATED from the headset. I am quite pleased they can be answered and terminated from the headset though.

The Skype / Nokia bug that plagued the previous N800 OS (OS2007) where the screen failed to dim properly ( after time ) has been fixed also. Now after you place a Skype-Out call the screen dims and blackens as it should. Excellent.

Thank you.

I'll start testing with Sipphone and MagicJack to start with.

I can only leave this up a short while longer.

If you want the OS2008 from this server of mine, get it right away before it comes down.

I would be happy to mirror the N810 image if I had a copy, but I can't even get the Nokia download link to connect anymore. If anyone can help me get a copy, I'll post it.

Same here. Is there even a single person who downloaded the 810 firmware successfully?

I don't have a linux box handy (other than my n800) , is there anyway to install os2008 from windows, or without an external box?
