And yes, I have rebooted.
It works with the camera shutter?

Could you verify if 'quick-launch-daemon' is active ? (do a ps and see if it is listed)

There must be something that creates some kind of conflict.
Can you please send me, privately, your os version and the list of all installed apps (a dpkg -l would be perfect).
Thanks.

Thanks.
dpkg -l output seems to be too long to be sent as private message. I could post it as a .txt but it seems that private messages can not contain attachements

I have latest version of operating system (PR1.3) and Power kernel v40 installed.

I have same symptoms as OVK (open shutter does nothing; clicking quick launch in power key menu does nothing). Same seg fault when running the dialog from xterm.

I'm on PR1.2 with Power Kernel v40. I've attached my dpkg -l output in a .zip file, hope it helps.

Hi,

finally, thanks to Pigro, I found out the problem that cause the random sagfaults of the dialog. The issue is that some package, once installed, copy a .DS_Store file in /usr/share/applications/hildon/ directory, where I suppose that only .desktop file should exist, and this cause some problem.
I've managed how to avoid this problem, and now the dialog should never segfault
I just created a new release (1.0) available on extras-testing, that contains this fix and I also added, as requested, a button on the control-panel applet to show/hide the icon on the powerkey menu.

Test & vote

Best Regards,
Daniele Maio.
