The stock has just broken through 11 dollars on huge vol

note that the move up is mainly because of "windows mobile" rumors. It may infuriate the open source hippies but make the owners (stock holders) of the company very happy in the short term.

The short term only matters if you're day trading and plan to sell it. What matters is the long term.

stock market is not about facts. Its driven of expectations, rumers and specualtions.

Given the trajectory of Nokia's stock, the combined maemo.org and MeeGo communities should be able to swing a hostile takeover in a few hours. Everyone in for €5 each?

We can't do that, Microsoft is already sitting ready, hand hovering over the 'buy' button. This is clearly what was their plan all along.
