Use Mplayer & Kmplayer. You can play lots of different videotypes with mplayer and videoperformance is better with mplayer. Of course not "Superbetter"

Yeah, that's the unfortunate side of the old OMAP3 chip on N9. Rasperry Pi's cpu is abysmally slow, but it has separate GPU/decode chip that supports 1080p.
And yeah, some videos that worked (badly) on PR1.1, just error on PR1.2.
Add a few cm's of silicon FTW
At least the N9 is available for purchase, the Raspberry hardly

now you all know why i told you, why nokia didnt give it latest chipset? omap4 will be so f*ckin cool, no offende here, just a lil bit dissapointment, if this is they(nokia) last maemo device, why dont they give it at least some mid chipset? sorry if my quote sound like an hater, but fyi i love maemo. ..

I found this thread cause i discovered all the videos I transferred from my N8, taken from my N8 are not playing on my N9. I knew it was somewhat laggy on Pr1.1, but PR1.2 changed it to show that stupid message. Like it plays part way and then suddenly the message appears.
