just curious of how it is going to look like

This ain't going to happen. BBM is a secured encrypted messaging service. Even governments can't crack it. Why do N9 users need to prove anything to BB users anyway?

This isn't the same as what Arie said. He said that you have to run it in the background to get notification. See post #179

I'm sorry if this has been answered before but i just want to make sure.
My question is, if the app itself is closed, BUT i'm still connected to the internet, will i still get a notification for a new message? if i remember correctly official whatsapp does that (if it doesn't then my question doesn't really matter so just forget my post )

BBM uses a BB's unique device ID, not an IMEI, so if it's ever reversed you'll need a BB for the ID, which means you don't need the port.

WhatsApp itself has servers, these servers receive the messages that are sent to you and generate a notification for your device (on iOS), this means that even if the app's killed, you'll get notifications.
Android has a services thing, that generates local notifications when they're received, but WhatsApp always runs in the background as a service.
Wazapp simply hides the window, the UI is still running in the background (even though it doesn't show in the task switcher - like Sociality), and generates local notifications. If the app is killed somehow (killall wazapp is one) then you won't get notifications.

We basically meant the same. Wazapp keeps running automatically in the background even if you close the app. But battery usage is minimal.

I would like to see the notification on the LPS (clock screen when screen off) and the one in the active lock screen (the wallpaper)
Wazapp shows both

A flag like everyother non Nokia made app.

If its possible then im sure TGalal will make a personalised WhatsApp icon, but doubtful for a first release
