Off topic, if whatsapp eventually works 100% perfect on N9, will this prove that BBM can also be ported to N9.... I know I know.... Asking a bit too much, could be cool to prove to BB people that N9 is indeed unmatched

Messages are received once phone is on/internet connection is available. Although one time I had to open the app to get them - but I remember having had this problem also a few times with original WhatsApp. So It probably has nothing to do with the application itself.

I'm sorry if this has been answered before but i just want to make sure.
My question is, if the app itself is closed, BUT i'm still connected to the internet, will i still get a notification for a new message? if i remember correctly official whatsapp does that (if it doesn't then my question doesn't really matter so just forget my post
)

Android has a services thing, that generates local notifications when they're received, but WhatsApp always runs in the background as a service.
Wazapp simply hides the window, the UI is still running in the background (even though it doesn't show in the task switcher - like Sociality), and generates local notifications. If the app is killed somehow (killall wazapp is one) then you won't get notifications.

I would like to see the notification on the LPS (clock screen when screen off) and the one in the active lock screen (the wallpaper)

If its possible then im sure TGalal will make a personalised WhatsApp icon, but doubtful for a first release

Well Nokia do at least know how to build a decent phone, just apparently don't know how to support it..
