I just got a beta invite to Evernote Web today and I started playing around with it. I gotta say, this is awesome!
I haven't played with all their features yet but what I did so far was use my N800 in camera mode to take a picture of a business card. Then e-mail that picture to my designated Evernote email address and now it's stored in my Evernote account. What's exciting is that you can use the evernote search tool to search for text within the image to retrieve the information you want.
You probably can tell I'm pretty excited about the service since I can now sync my pics and notes that I've collected on the tablet to one location and have it organized without doing much.
Btw, anyone interested I have some invites available so either post or PM me.

the tablet camera was good enough for a business card? My 2mp htc touch wasnt even clear enough for a solid pic of a business card. The new evernote is fantastic and works across all platforms

I just wish it would extract and spit out text from pics and Xournal pdfs. That would be something.

My experience with Evernote on the N800 is that it completely didn't work for me, meaning that I couldn't run the program at all. I'll have to give it another try. Sure, I could send email to the evernote program, but that's about it, and that isn't enough.

I sent my feedback about the issue. I hope you send them an e-mail too so they at least know their is a community that is interested in using their product.

I too think an offline-capable version of evernote -- especially with capability to link up with Xournal, say, for online HWR -- for the N800 would be awesome.
But then I think the Newton OS on a device like the N800 would be even more awesome (Einstein! but it doesn't sync...).

If Xournal were to store its ink files in SVG format (or any other recognized format) (which I'm pretty certain it doesn't), you could run Xournal notes through Vision Object's MyScript Notes on a pc. It's still not of much use on the tablet itself though and, other than the HWR companies' stubbornness, there's absolutely no reason why any of these programs shouldn't work on Linux.

Personally, I wish for a good file viewer (Picsel Viewer, please!) before "another" note taker though
There's just a good amount of office files that I get from email, IM or web (corporate intranets) that the N800 cannot process elegantly. Namely formatted Word docs and powerpoint.
