I'm not sure I understand VideoCenter just yet, never mind VideoCenter without VideoCenter. I'll look into it though.
I'm thinking that between PodSync and Canola2, there will be a solution that meets my needs.

Neither Gpodder or Podsync work yet, as far as I know. I tried them yesterday.
I don't think there IS a good option for saving podcasts for on-the-road use--maybe someone has tips for us?
