BTW: I didn't know there was a protective cover, but had seen the foil sticker on other N800s in YouTube videos. I tried taking the 2nd sticker off and was petrified I would damage the screen trying to scrape it off. After awhile, the screen protector came half way off and I realized the sticker was stuck to it, not the actual N800 screen.

Note: I also had difficulty getting a Microsoft Office 2007 Pro container open, as noted in the link by timsamoff.

That's okay. I struggle with plastic DVD containers...

Cooking oil takes the adhesive off both stickers so that you can still use it as a protector.

The newer 800 comes with 2 stickers. One, the tab, which peels off easily. Second a square like thingi which, if peeled, leaves small diamond shaped leftobers on the protector which is impossible to take out. Wish i had known about that trick with cooking oil suggested by midkniht!

Anyways, I am now better off with actual screen protector from invisible shield.

I did think the protective film at first was difficult. However, I slid the corner of a sticky not under the film, using it to peel a corner up and then it came off very easy.

Then the gremlins and daemons will be well-lubricated.
