Wow, TS is a barren spamland these days. I can't imagine it won't be euthanized in the t.m.o transition.

Most people here aren't interested in newbies or their needs, and I expect that lack of concern to accelerate when Maemo takes over. Ghost town, here we come...

Do you really know what people here are concerned with? Do you actually know what the talk.maemo.org transition signifies (I'd guess "No", since you describe it as "Maemo taking over" which betrays a rather strong ignorance of the issue)? It's very easy to say these things, but they don't really have a lot to do with reality.

I'd ask that you do a little more research about where many of us have been investing our time before you go and spout uninformed silliness.

Thanks.

Personally I love helping people with legit problems. Makes me feel good. TS was just abandoned, and should be killed. Noob thread here is much better.

Still, I think there should be a BIG LINK pointing to the Wiki. Very useful documentation there.

Imaginary thanks the General as well...

My possibly erroneous spoutings predicting the future don't require research, they are just my gut feelings, unlike those who speak ex cathedra from the Throne of God. The attitudes I speak of shine through many posts, and do not reflect on the heroes who I have often praised.

We will recognize the ghost town by the tumbleweeds, not by my opinions. The hallmark of this particular kind of ghost town is that the enforcers succeed in suppressing contrary points of view (like this one) and manage to drive out dissenters as they obviously try to do with me. That leaves a handful of the pure manning the dusty streets.

We would.. but the economy isn't doing so well. Keep an eye out for that check, though, you never know when it'll turn around. Keep up the good work.

hehe.. as one of the cynical bunch, I understand where folks are coming from but I have to draw the line at saying it's dead. It's certainly not dead or dying--but Nokia hasn't done much to fan the flames of enthusiasm from the folks considering their products and are sort of disappointing those of us who already have one (my primary beef being hardware support for parts, but as a professional ranter I can probably list many more at the drop of a hat).

I'm just thankful for the folks that can help alleviate some of what Nokia is lacking to do themselves, but it always comes with that tinge of knowing that it's not official Nokia anything with solid dates and details. ...but, that's all part of business too. Can complain.. but not too much.
