You don't need either of those, just press the power button once and select "Offline mode" from the menu that pops up.

And if you don't use Powerlaunch, "Offline Mode" is also one of the choices when you hit the power switch.

I seem to recall somebody offline mode is not always present on the power button (although that might be outdated information since Diablo).

In any case, advanced power lives at http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...t.php?p=241114 and does/shows many useful things beside this so it's a recommendation anyway if you plan on optimising for battery life.

Er.. I just turn off wi-fi and bluetooth.. that's flight mode enough, isn't it?
