2. Is there anyway to control music with the headset? This is a basic feature...

3. What is wrong with the desktop widget... slow as a turtle...

Any info will be appreciated, THX
1. Long press, "add to paylist".

2. As zerojay said, get a bluetooth headset.

3. No problem on my phone. Used it every day since Friday evening.

If you did your research before ordering the device then you would have known what was possible. Don't buy it anyway then complain. If an ipod is what you want then get that instead.

I like the Jabra BT-3030 It looks like a dog tag, you can change number back and f.ward, ffward and backwards, vplumen up and down and of cause answer phone/start Voicecall (and reject call I think) and I read that it has Multi-point – can link to 2 Bluetooth-units at same time (don't know if that is ever usefull but hey). oh and it has a 3.5 jack so you can choose your own earplugs... oh oh and it charges with a mini usb. :P

The community is happy to help in most cases as long as you don't come in to aggressively.

As for the regular headset (I don't know if it comes with a button to mute/answer calls like the n800/n810 did). I'm sure someone will get around to making a headset control program like there was on the n800/n810. That enabled pause/play.

But for now the only solution for playback control using headphones is bluetooth headphones or some bluetooth remote of some sort.

I use a Plantronics Voyager 855 with my E90. It has ear PLUGS so I can keep the volume low while I walk through the train station every day. I charge them at home and at work. The batteries are pretty good, but mine rarely last through more than about 8 hours of continued use.

Don't understand the need for bluetooth headset. What am I missing? The N97 ships with headphones that has play, skip, previous, volume, answer call controls. Can't that work here?

Unfortunately as said before the answer is "no" on the N97 the third channel of the headphone jack was used for headsets with controls, on the n900 it is used for video output instead. Now I am not sure if there is a hardware reason why it could not be used for both but... the fact is that as of now it isn't, and that sorta stinks.
