I just got a N900 for my wife. She loves the phone but tells me that the time isn't correct on all the text messages. It seems to be using the GMT time zone for time stamps. I have the correct time zone setup in the time/date and selected automatically update. Any ideas?

thanks.

I have the same problem, only on incoming sms messages. Never been able to resolve it. On my N82 it could be resolved by ignoring carrier time.

We can't be the only two who have this issue. No one can answer this?

I've got an update with this. My wife went to a Rogers store and the people actually blamed the problem on the phone. That's funny because I'm in US here on T-mobile and I can put my sim card into the same phone and all text messages received have the correct times. I did the script hack but it does not change the time stamp of the text when you open them individually. Not sure what else to do other than getting a Rogers specific phone.

I'm not looking for a band-aid sorry. Changing the timezone to 0 will mess up all the appointments in the calendar and alarms! This defeats the purchase. Rogers blamed it hard on the phone when my wife was at the Rogers store. Thanks Mr. Rogers. Rogers is running some wacky config and all their Rogers specific phones are pre-configured to compensate for their wacky SMS center settings. The guy kept making the point that the time stamp is correct on their Blackberry and my wife's old Nokia MusicExpress 5500. BUT THAT'S NOT THE POINT! I bet I can go up there with my unlocked Motorola V195 and get the same wrong time stamp. The problem remains unresolved and my wife has called Nokia to see about resolving this. This story continues... and I will give some updates after Nokia calls her to troubleshoot the problem.
