If you remove the RF shielding, as well as making the Tablet a RF emitter, you will also gain RF noise on the super-sensitive WiFi radio. You don't want that.

I bought a 770 a month ago offa eBay and it was a dud with a unusable display. Took it apart and saw they were doing the old flex SMT circuitry like on their cellphones. It ended up being a education moment.
