I tried to install the main file but it gave me an error that other files "hildon" is required. What steps did you follow for the installation..

I would try with a reboot...
(I guess the callbacks are still active and removing an icon from hildon-home does not kill the app, but just make it invisible. And uninstalling it removes it from the device, but it still is in memory)

Seems like due some bug, recaller fails to stop recording sometimes.
Well, has happened once, and just now recaller has recorded over an hour already and I do not know how to stop it.
ps command doesn't give a hint what process should be killed.
# ps -a|grep recall
6653 root 2088 S grep recall

Still it says time to time "recaller: recording since (one hour ago)"
The widget on the desktop is green but nothing happens when clicked.

edit: I noticed /home/user/MyDocs is not mounted and I have recaller store its recordings to /home/user/MyDocs/recaller/
There is no /home/user/MyDocs/recaller when /dev/mmcblk0p1 is not mounted.

Removing widget from Desktop and reinstalling it didn't help either. The notifications pop-up bars still come up time to time. But it is not writing to any file though, even after I manually mounted /dev/mmcblk0p1 to /home/user/MyDocs

edit2:
Rebooting got rid of the notification.

Why /dev/mmcblk0p1 is not mounted after the re-boot, I do not know.
Is it a known bug?
Code:
Nokia-N900-42-11:~# df -h /home/user/MyDocs
Filesystem Size Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/mmcblk0p2 2.0G 713.4M 1.2G 37% /home
Nokia-N900-42-11:~# mount /home/user/MyDocs
Nokia-N900-42-11:~# df -h /home/user/MyDocs
Filesystem Size Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/mmcblk0p1 27.0G 5.8G 21.2G 22% /home/user/MyDocs

Did you plugin USB sometime during the recording?

I had the charger plugged in.

But I think the bug is because N900 when re-booted via power-menu "Reboot"-command does not mount /dev/mmcblk0p1 for some reason. And if recaller has its destination directory (/home/user/MyDocs/recaller/) set to place which does not exist, it starts recording when a phone call comes, but gots messed up because there were no destination directory, ....so the system bug caused a recaller bug.

Mine does that too, but no reboots.

Also, it sometimes goes completely nuts if, while it does this, another call comes in. CPU is pushed to 100%, phone becomes very hard to use and the conversation is chopped up, sometimes a little, sometimes I can't understand anything.

I had to disable it to make a few calls today.

Right now, if I want to be able to make a phone call I have to reboot after each call via power button.

ETA:

Oh, and I know I'm not going to be able to talk when it takes 5 seconds for the notification to pop up. Usually it's pretty fast but sometimes it takes maybe 10 seconds for the "pick up call" to appear.
