New version of the Exercise Rep Counter released today.

Following tremendous community feedback I'm happy to announce the release of a new Exercise Rep counter today. Version 4.9 is in extras-testing now.

New features:

1. Multiple exercises can be preset and saved.

2. Exercise to perform can be selected from a dropdown on the front screen.

3. Each exercise can have 4 steps. Each step can have 2 parts, like lift then hold.

4. A different sound can be configured to denote the end of each step. Individual step sounds can be muted too.

5. Exercises can be carried out in 2 modes:
5.1 Manual where you push the button each time
5.2 Automatic which continues through from rep to rep until interrupted.

6. The app now installs to /opt/maemo

Not included in this release:
1. Acceleramoter support - I'm going to work on this next.
2. An overall mute feature.

Cheers for the feedback so far, and more feedback is always welcome,

Shep.

As I designed this for the program I was on I only catered for 2 factors in the calc. I'll have a look at making the number of factors configurable and adding a third, but that might make the calc.csv matrix very large.

WW here supply a slider that you can use to take the Cals & Sat fat and get the points value for an item. How does this work with Fibre? Can you give me an example.

Is your application open source so I can make a US Version of it?

It sure is, the sources are on the garage site https://garage.maemo.org/projects/act/ but I'd rather not have multiple versions of the same app...

I'd be delighted if you want to develop it further though.

How are you planning on doing a US version then just have an option in your program

Yeah, I think that a suitable enhancement would be to add a setting that allows users to select the number of factors in their calculation and then look up the csv based on these factors.

Thinking about the formula you mentioned earlier maybe there's a way to allow users to enter their own formula? That would be a lot better than the 3 factor csv lookup and more precise too.

Anyhow, I welcome any contributions you may have.

I was going to suggest allowing uses to enter their own formula
