I just ordered mine from Amazon, and should be in my greasy hands before monday!
Took me a while to decide, but finally I jumped head first (Mainly because of all the marvels I read in this forum).
I hope I keep it for at least two years, like my faithful N95 8GB.
Cheers

USB PORT ISSUE
Not to make you folks paranoid, but it will be a good thing to keep in back of your mind when your connecting and disconnecting the usb charge cable multiple times/day. Many N900 units are known to have the usb port falling off due to a tight fit and to some extent its a design flaw of this port. Get a spare usb cable and file off the prongs that stick out, that way you get least wear and tear on your usb port and it will hold longer. For more details, check out the mega long thread on usb port problems.

This may be a good argument for buying a cheap desktop charger and a few batteries. Then there is no reason to plug in the usb charge cable multiple times a day.
I like using the desktop charger anyway; my batteries and charger cost me way less than $20 including shipping. I hadn't really thought about the USB issue much till now.
It is interesting, though -- my Kindle USB adapter has more or less worn out, so I now use my N900 USB adapter for the Kindle and the N900.

every one talks about firefox...i think it sucks, i dont because its a slow start up we all know why. but page fitment and also its not clear in landscape mode to read text unless u zoom. MircoB is great does same as firefox but better. i know mircoB uses firefox engine but it uses it better on n900 .
by the way good choice, great phone
