then which bin file did you use for back up? Maybe mine is a bad one.

ok, think i might have fixed it. I deleted all the .db and .db-journal files from ~/.rtcom-eventlogger/

Now it seems to be storing new communications again. I'll try restoring from my backup and see what happens now.

I suggest you wipe the eMMC. Convo DB is stored somewhere in your 2G storage. So wiping it will fix your issues

I used the original link, which now had been taken off.

Ok. Deleting those files fixed the conversation app, but I still can't restore from the backup. There must have been weirdness in the old conversations file which is causing the trouble.

I should add that deleting those files cleared the calendar too...

How many messages do you have? Mine restored fine even with 2000 messages...

Probably ~5000. I'd never bothered clearing anything out :P

Whoa!

Perhaps the folks never really expected the convo app to need to deal with so much messages, so it just went sorta haywire.
