The trouble with all cases so far is that they have to be removed so my N900 will go intoi me car brodit mount. Seeing as I use the car mount twice a day I soon loose patience with cases

I need a case that has a car mounting solution

like i said the aluminium case from pdair offers maximum protection and their site also offers a car mounting bracket that is compatible with the case, best money i spent in a long time!

I got the pdair aluminium case today. It is very light and seems well made. All the holes line up properly with e.g. proximity sensor. I got the silver version which is quite 'shiny'. Probably would have gotten the black version instead if I had seen it live first. It makes the phone a bit bulky but that was expected. Overall seems like a good case.

After a few weeks of use another short review of the pdair aluminium case.
I found that the case has a few annoying "features".

* the top cover doesn' t sit tightly so when opening the cover the screen is usually covered in lint from my pocket
* the top cover prevents the use of gestures from off screen to on screen e.g microb's back and cursor select.
* as people have stated before. The static closing clip can hit the screen if not careful.
* it is bulky

Bottom line is that I probably wouldn't buy it again even though I have a two year old who likes to "handle" the phone.

Get an Otterbox case.. Got mine on ebay for cheaper than their official site.. Its perfect.. has a layer of rubberised material and then the hardcase on the outside.. Maximum protection with minimal hinderance to looks and usage. .

I have a clear one I got from ebay. Works great. Excellent fit, doesn't get in the way of anything. All I wanted was something to protect against everyday abrasion, not a freakin' Otterbox.
