Hmmmm....well, glad to hear that your install went well, MohammadAG...

I just tried again, and now it won't connect to repository again....

Everyone, are you using the 'standard install' or 'customized install' option? I've been using the 'customized' option...

Also, after getting partially installed and then trying again, installer says "The fremantle armel and fremantle x86 targets already exist, please choose appropriate action.' Gives me 2 choices; 'create new ones' or 'overwrite existing targets'. I've tried both ways and doesn't seem to make a difference in end result...

Any suggestions??

Well, at least I'm in good company.....

So, you got SDK installed after 3 days or are you saying you still are trying to get it installed after 3 days of trying????

Hmm, I didn't do a clean install, I just upgraded my existing SDK.
But to answer your question, I've never used the GUI installer, I went for the scripts instead (since I can actually resume downloads there).
http://wiki.maemo.org/Documentation/...K_Installation
Can you try using those?
Also refer to the Ubuntu 10.04 notes, hope this helps.

Thanks for the tip, patate....

Tried that but I get error message:

W: You may want to run apt-get update to correct these problems

Funny, you mention this, as I decided to uninstall and then reinstall using the manual approach per then wiki...seemed to go a bit smoother...but as you can see in my post above, still have problem downloading nokia-binaries nokia-apps......

Any other ideas???

Thanks, here you go:

Code:
# Generated by NetworkManager
domain rwc.ca.xx.org.
search rwc.ca.xx.org.
nameserver 1x.242.31.xxx
nameserver 1x.233.15.xxx
* Please note that I changed a few characters to 'x' since this is related to my workplace....

UPDATE

Decided to try installing the 'X86' 'nokia-binaries' and 'nokia-apps'.... apt-get install worked for these!......

So, assume there's some sort of server issue for the 'ARMEL' stuff.....
