I've made the symlinks, and they work in CuteExplorer, but Opera sees them as files :P thanks all the same!

Opera does show you the hidden folders. It's the pictures, video, sound, etc. items shown in the drop down list along with home, / and other.
The symlinks issue I'll have to investigate.

They are indeed accessible when downloading a file, but not after pressing a browse button for uploading..
And thanks Ossipena, but that's a bit too radical I think, but it would work
Anyway.. it's not that much of a problem, maybe I'll just contact the people at Opera and inform them
