Some people will take a simple innocent post as a personal attack on them. It's partly caused by the language barrier and the mix of different slang terms.
you forgot peoples personal problems and their intent on venting them out on a random person.

I think it's the nature of forums to have negativity. People generally come to forums when they have problems, people that wouldn't normally post on forums. It's rare to see a normal customer who's satisfied with a product posting on a forum to say how everything is fine, as nothing would really be gained from it. If there is a problem people will post to find out what's going on, if other people have experienced it, and if it can be fixed.

Plus some people just like trolling.

I disagree. This used to be a place where like minded people shared knowledge, showed off hacks done to the older tablets, etc. Forums are not just about whining.

ps. since when the community has had customers? The community doesn't sell the devices. Why complain to them?

When I first joined this place was the most hostile environment I had ever come across. You couldn't say anything negative about the N900 or Nokia without people reacting like you had called their mother a prostitute.

Now it seems it is less hostile place and the negative force has grown stronger. I think this is a mixture of the fact many people have come to realise the N900 has so many issues so there are many more negative comments and the hostile N900 defenders have realised it is not a case of a few iphone trolls but a really long line of people who have genuine issues with the N900.

Heck no. I want to get paid to be negative by somebody... no time for the whole "Nokia is dumping on us" crapola. FUPM.

So... who's hiring? I do accept Paypal and gadgets.

The community doesn't have customers, I meant customers of whatever product is relevant to the forum. There are a lot of N900 customers on this forum who will use it as a place to talk about what they see as the negative aspects of the N900 (regardless of the actual purpose of the forum) as this is probably the most useful and responsive place for anything N900 related.

Wrong People are just tired of answering the same dumb and pointless rants:
1. My phone is not working please help asap! NOKIA sux Maemo sux.
2.Nokia is leaving us we will not have flash 10 and no Meego whine whine curse curse.
3. Why we don`t have tons of useless apps like iPhone and Android NOKIA sux rant rant.

Now tell me how many people have problems with something else? Compare the two groups and there you go. MANY people bought the wrong device for them fact. But this is their problem or Nokia at some point due to the advertisements campaign. This rants have nothing to do with this Community. The device is GREAT its the best out there for many of us no matter that is 1 year old.

No one here will babysit you if you can handle it, if you ask for help the right way the community will always help. The neagativity is from the first group of people who realized that they made poor choice and they rant here.
