I would also like to be able to have custom labels, like Mobile UK, Mobile Fr, ...
I don't have anyone's fax number so I might use the Fax field for the non-home country mobile number.

And unfortunately Contacts is one of the closed bits of the N900. Although qwerty did manage to hack the media player which is also closed so maybe there is some hacker wizard that can do something about that. Hey wizard while you are at it could you find a way to reduce the size of contacts shortcuts on the desktop.
