I can imagine with the release of WP7, we will soon get people saying how WP7 is what Maemo should have been, that Nokia is so far behind and everyone is so much better - billions of Apps that make me tingly and feel special.

My response is - fine, enjoy what you like and move on. No one here is jealous. We are Maemo users out of choice. Owning and developing for a device like the N900 is a pleasure, and committing time and effort to building your near perfect device is even more of a pleasure for the common user. Programmer or not.

As far as Nokia is concerned - they made bad decisions. Most here are not fan boys. Symbian will do well, and Meego - well they have plenty of time to see where WP7 go wrong and where Android missed an audience. I will wait patiently and make a well informed choice. But probably - actually most likely - I will pick the platform thats not only fun to use but actually wants me to get involved. That there is the difference between different user bases. I suspect thats where the OP and some other former TMO members went wrong.

Nokia N900 ( maemo OS ) is really superb phone, but i don't know why nokia is neglecting such a phone and doesn't update up with any new up-dates in terms of : software updates.

If you go to Nokia.maemo.com, under news, you will find that the latest news is about the last up-date ( PR 1.2 ) and nothing new....

Hope some one can give N900 what it deserve,, it is an amazing device.
Regards

True. I'm not much a fan of Nokia, I always regard them as ugly phones manufacturer. N900 is the dream phone for many, and I was so surprised that Nokia is the first one to make it and push it.

They made many bad decisions, but I think they at least do one thing right - N900.

I bet that no one will complain if I create a post saying how amazing this portable computer is. But if I think otherwise, I am a troll. Interesting behavior.

I think that this device was released to market before it was ready. I donīt like the idea of the N900 being the only maemo device. I also think that the N95 was so much better in itīs time. This is what I believe and calling me names will not change it. What could change what I think are valid reasons of why I could be wrong.

If you go to Android forum and tell them how N900 is great and Android sucks I'm sure you'll be met with similar response

So you're posting yet another attention seeking "I'm going away and you're all fools for using the N900, Buy Samsung and Android!" in the N900 sub-forum and expecting not to get flamed by people annoyed by such unhelpful posts?
