Ovi Suite (and tons of other stuff) might use Qt in their marketing material and blogs, but under the hood things are far different.

Ovi is not a product of Qt Creator, it's filled to the roof with windows specific system calls and loads of other non-Qt-framework stuff.

It would require an extensive rewrite to work properly in Linux.

Hi.

I'm very dissapointed about Nokia and the OVI joke.

I can't sincronize the contacts on my N900 with the OVI web site, nor on OVI suite because N900 isn't on the supported devices list.

Is it so difficult to do that?

If only Nokia employed programmers with sense and vision. The bits that does the actual work should be hived off into libraries with well documented APIs, then create a Windows/Mac/Linux GUI. Or in the case of Linux just release the libraries and some enterprising Linux persons would create their own GUIs.
