*WAS* first written in flash. But later it is ported to XBOX, DS, iOS in a different form of language. PS. iOS doesn't support flash or flash code. It was rewritten in each OS SDK and API.

Another alternative if you have Nitdroid,
there's a chinese port of PvZ (it's very similar)
And there's also a copy of PvZ called Leave the Devil Alone or something like that

To be clear guys: It's not that iOS supports Flash literally (unless you jailbreak it and install that experimental Flash hack). It's that the Adobe-provided Flash development program allows you to have your Flash code compiled in a way that will run on the iOS.

If I'm understanding things correctly. (Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong.)

That is correct. There is no official Adobe Flash plugin for web browsing, nor Adobe AIR runtime for any iOS device.

What Flash CS5 and Adobe labs Panini and Burrito are doing is basically wrapping ActionScript 3 with an ObjectiveC wrapper that allows it to run.

If you want the correct terms, whatnot, read this.

My old favorite TD game, "desktop tower defense", is quite playable on the n900 (if a little slow). You can find it at

http://www.handdrawngames.com

There are tons of other flash-based TD games out there...
