Hey, I believe you've downloaded some wrong or old .deb file.
Where did you get it from?
The correct .deb file is located in maemo extras-devel repository.
And it can be downloaded with apt-get.
However, the problem is, Fremantle and Harmattan are pretty much different and I am almost sure the application won't run on Harmattan.
At least, it now uses GTK, not QT, and also, it reads the ambient light meter sensor information directly from the /sys directory. That file location differs on n810/diablo n900/fremantle and n900/nemo. I have no idea where the file located in Harmattan. So even if Harmattan would have GTK, app will run and issue a message that hardware not found.
The correct way would be to port it to Harmattan and Sailfish, and may be use Qt and it's API to access the light meter.Though as far as I remember, API call doesn't give enough precision.
Anyway, app should be ported.
And the latest binary is in extras-devel, not anywhere else.
