can anyone give me step by steo to ssh on computer please... thanks for the filebox advice but its just too much lol

as you said you have installed rootsh and i hope you do remember the password too.
now install http://winscp.net/eng/download.php winscp on your computer .
after installation open the app and it will ask you for the i.p address of your n900.
you can get it from this command using xterminal.
sudo gainroot
ifconfig
search for the WLAN address it should be like 192.168.1.2
your last digit will be different i guess.
and in user name type root and the password is the same which you have written at the installation process of rootsh
hope this will help.
p.s WINSCP is also a big thread started in this forum , you can search wiki to see the thread for proper information .

o yeah one more thing , you need to keep you n900's WLAN on to connect your n900 to pc
