My screen is getting thrashed. I'm close to pulling the trigger on one of those $12 n900 touch screen digitizers on ebay.

Does it come with a screen or it's only the digitizer? Because I had gotten a N95 screen for about this price, and it still works 1.5 years later, but it's not transflective, and the edges are like they are going to peel off. Rainbow colors on the four corners

It's only the digitizer. The screen w/ digitizer runs between $50 and $80.

is it different from resistive and capacitive screens?

back to topic:

i read that nokia is going to announce a device on june 21st. people believe that it's a meego device...

am i the only weird guy here? i still receive lots of compliments that my device still looks like new after 1 1/2 years. i only put screen protectors at the front and back still the same till now...

yeah mine looks new on the back too. Unlike all other nokias after a year and a half of use. But I tend to use fingernails on the keyboard...

If you ever do that post your experience here please... I'd kill to know if the pressure sensitivity still works after that. And how is the accuracy. And the distance between film and screen. And...

I think they're original Nokia n900 replacement parts. According to the ads, and there are alot of them, the parts are brand new, sealed, and they even come with the installation tools. It should be as good as new, but try thread-searching this site because that trail has already been blazed by a few. "digitizer" popped up some good ones.

But if I do it, I'll certainly post the experience.
