Minetest was using Irrlicht, which is using OpenGL ES. This is done in software, because it's a game that has graphics that could've run in WebGL. (Lots of sprites, in other words.)
I'll repackage it right now and update the menu entry.
The run.sh file is really confusing. I'll set up absolute paths so there won't be errors in there. Better safe than sorry, right?
But... I don't understand copying to the appdata folder... Do you mean home-folder or the folder in opt?
