Guy wanted to re-pack a file from .tar.gz format to .deb.
Do *you* need to do such a thing?
If YES, then please follow the suggestion in this thread (no, not yours about going to bed).
If NO, then please leave this thread alone!
I have the feeling that regardless of the problems people may have you eventually pop in all the threads as if your life depended on the problems other people have.
